Anila’s launches range in John Lewis Stores
PRESS RELEASE
Anila’s entire range of sauces, pickles and chutneys launches in John Lewis
July 2009
Award-winning Anila’s has launched its entire range in the Foodhall at John Lewis, Oxford Street.
All 24 products from Anila’s are also being stocked in the new 16,500 sq ft John Lewis Foodhall from Waitrose at John Lewis Bluewater, which opens at the shopping centre near Dartford on August 6 2009.
The range features eight varieties of authentic curry sauces and 16 varieties of pickles, chutneys and dips.
Anila’s sauces are based on traditional Indian recipes, and are gluten-free and dairy-free. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, they are also free from onions and garlic, which suits people who are intolerant to alliums.
Anila’s sauces have won ten Great Taste Awards, and earlier this year her Spicy Korma Curry Sauce scooped a Free From Food Award.
“I am delighted and proud that John Lewis Bluewater has taken my whole range, which already seems to be very popular with their customers in Oxford Street,” said Anila Vaghela, who founded Anila’s Authentic Sauces in 1997 and is based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, and has a unit in West London.
“My business is to provide quality products aimed at high end gourmet stores including health food stores. It’s very exciting that we are going to be part of the second John Lewis Foodhall from Waitrose, which opens at Bluewater next month.”
Anila bases her recipes on the dishes she creates for her family. With eight flavours of curry sauce to choose from, there is something to suit all tastes…from mild and fragrant to hot and spicy. Her mouthwatering pickles, chutneys and dips are delicious combined with cheese, and are perfect accompaniments to a range of meals and snacks.
As well as John Lewis Oxford Street and Bluewater, Anila’s products are also on sale at Harrods, Selfridges, plus hundreds of other outlets that include Wholefoods, Planet Organic, delis, health food stores, garden centres and gift shops. Anila’s also sells direct to the public at 28 farmers’ markets and online via www.anilassauces.com
